 About the series

The Arts in April series is an initiatve by the UC Berkeley Public Service to bring more events to the Cal campus concerning the role of the arts in social justice work. Arts in April is also a chance to showcase the many arts events put on by student and campus organizations throughout the month. At one of the world's  leading universities, where thousands study to change and improve their communities, the power and impact of the arts is not often recognized. With Arts in April, the Center hopes to bring more attention to the talent and activism showcased by UC Berkeley and Bay Area artists.

About the Center: The UC Berkeley Public Service Center connects ideas, resources, and people to act for social justice, build healthy communities, and foster life-long commitments to public service. The Center partners with the community, student leaders and faculty to engage over 5,000 students each year as volunteers, and through jobs, internships, and courses. Visit us on campus at 102 Sproul Hall or online at http://publicservice.berkeley.edu.

For questions or more information, please contact Ela Banerjee, the Public Service Center's Arts Pathway Student Coordinator, at ebanerjee@berkeley.edu.
